Olga Perez Flora is a highly sought after voice teacher, with over 15 years experience. While establishing herself as one of America's leading mezzo-sopranos, Dr. Perez Flora is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice and head of voice faculty at Muskingum University. Throughout the summer, she is on faculty as the Opera Scenes Director at both Up North Vocal Institute (UNVI) in Boyne City, MI and Idyllwild Arts Festival in Idyllwild, CA, holding both posts for many years. Olga has had several students with professional success in both the classical and music theater arenas, helping students to find an efficient and long lasting technique in whatever genre they perform. In addition to instilling good technique, special interests in her studio include dramatic coaching and text interpretation, fitness and health management, and Spanish language art song, especially Cuban song. Her education includes a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) from The Ohio State University (2013), a Master of Music (MM) in Opera Theater from Arizona State University, as well as a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Vocal Performance and a post-Bachelor certificate in Music Education from Northern Arizona University.
